The Pilates Process™ approach is unique—our priority isn’t just that clients perform Pilates well (though they will over time). Instead, we aim for Pilates to serve the client, helping them develop greater efficiency, stability, balanced power, and improved posture. Pilates Process™ is a Pilates Method Alliance-recognized method.

July 12th–24th, 2026

Reformer Training
Level 1 + 2

In this course, we teach you the extensive Reformer Level 1 + 2 repertoire along with modifications. These exercises expand on what was taught in the Foundational Mat Course. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how we can use both Mat and Equipment-based exercises to create a supported, individualized program for each of our clients, whether it’s in a private or class setting.

July 25th -28th, 2026

Reformer Advanced
Level 3

This course is considered continuing education and covers the advanced-level Reformer repertoire. A strong understanding of the Foundational Mat and Reformer is required as the advanced work builds on the foundations of these earlier courses.

There will be functional anatomy review, modification considerations and case studies to encourage continued critical thinking about the application of the exercises.

August.1st-7th, 2026

Mat Pilates
Levels 1 + 2

This is the first step to becoming a Pilates Process™ certified instructor. In this course, we teach you the Mat Level 1 + 2 repertoire along with modifications. These exercises are the building blocks that will set you up for the later equipment courses.

We introduce our Pilates Process™ Principles, the basics of functional anatomy, postural analysis and programming, cueing and communication and practice teaching in a creative, supportive and fun environment.

features of Pilates Process™ training include

Small Class Sizes

We are detail-oriented and limit class sizes to 8 students so that everyone gets the assistance they need. In fact, we add an assistant when the class is more than 8 students.

Commitment To Students

We really want you to understand the material, not just memorize it, and we have developed creative, diverse teaching methods to ensure that.

Exceptional Teachers

We have extremely high standards for teacher trainers. All of our teachers have extensive experience and are passionate about Pilates, their teaching and their students.

Therapeutic Pilates

Understandably, not every fitness teacher wants to teach therapeutically. It is a reality, however, that every teacher will come across clients with pain and injury, whether they plan to or not. Our training is infused with our therapeutic knowledge so that you will feel prepared and confident when those situations arise.

    PILATES PROCESS VANCOUVER

  • As the founder of Pilates Process, like many Pilates teachers, Laura came from a career in dance. Pilates seemed like a perfect fit for someone with decades of experience analyzing movement and thought it would be a stepping stone to something else. After working as a Stott Pilates™ instructor trainer for several years, Laura opened Pilates Process in Toronto in 2001.

Laura has taken extensive courses, developing her expertise in multiple areas including core stability, biomechanics, low back pain, chronic pain management, patella femoral syndrome, and fascial training.

She then developed the teacher training program with a new approach to Pilates. The Pilates Process ™ method began in 2003.  Since then, we have trained and mentored hundreds of teachers and continue to lead the field in our adaptive, evolving approach.
