This class is perfect if you're starting out and want to learn the basics or if you want to up your game and discover a whole new style of hooping! I-love-hoola-hoops are designed to be gentle on the body, which creates a slower, more sensual style of hooping. I love hoola hoops interpret the expression of each individual’s body language and the hoops move and respond to your body's movement and posture.

After exploring the basics, you will learn to control the hoop by moving it up and down the body using your core and balance, then possibly adding a second hoop! We will finish off the class with a small dance hoop sequence giving you some new moves to groove with; find your own flow and grow from there!

    Aerial Yoga - Restorative Series
    - A slow-paced class that allows you to focus on the integration of movements, flexibility and relaxation

Aerial yoga combines traditional yoga asanas with acrobatics. Using a soft hammock for support, these anti-gravity aerial yoga classes can be fun and relaxing. They are structured to build core and upper body strength, flexibility, balance and decompression of the spine. These classes involve pulling, pushing and hanging upside down; they can train your whole body to work cohesively, weaving movements together to create power and grace.

These classes begin with a warm-up to prepare your body for the aerial experience; once warm, we will start exploring various poses and movements using the hammock. The hammock becomes an extension of your body, supporting you in different ways as you move through the practice. It can be used as a swing, a support for inversions, or a prop to deepen stretches. Aerial yoga offers a wide range of possibilities, allowing you to move in challenging ways on the ground.

Beyond the physical benefits, aerial yoga also has a calming and meditative effect on the mind. The gentle swaying and floating sensations the hammock creates can induce relaxation and release mental stress. The practice encourages mindfulness and focus, as you need to be fully present to maintain balance and flow through the movements.
